how can it be that we have access to unlimited information, but don't know what information to trust?
I can’t be the only one who is overwhelmed by the vast stream of digital information. As I attempt to discern signal amidst so much noise, I often find myself seeking the voices & insights of my friends, community, and network.

In a world ripe for further technological progress with AI, our ability to distinguish real information from fake, or authentic from unreliable, is about to become even more challenging.

Imagine if surfacing trusted information from your friends was as easy as searching Google or ChatGPT. We live in an era of global collective intelligence, but we believe it’s time to reclaim the era of the local collective.
how can it be that influencer culture rewards fame, instead of authentic influence?
I believe influence is about trust, over popularity. Influence should not be measured by how many followers you have, but by thoughtful encounters between friends - when someone shows you a new favorite song, inspires you to try out a cool accessory, or recommends their favorite cafe. Imagine if influence lied with the many, instead of the few.

What if we cared more about meaningful impact, rather than reaching the masses. We should all be rewarded for our loyalty and creativity, not the size of our audience. Influence, like taste & culture, should be dynamic & diverse.
how can it be?
Friends Know Best (FKB) leverages the power of AI to aggregate our networks’ collective intelligence and surface information that is attributable to the people we trust most.

Instead of meaningless ratings or sterile search results, FKB showcases what our friends know and love. FKB empowers every individual to dynamically curate their taste - in places, products, style, art, content - and share it with their corner of the universe. Because influence should be the natural result of meaningful human-to-human connection.

Technology should be the invisible string serving our humanity, promoting connection, and enabling self expression and evolution - because, ultimately, our friends know best.
